What is the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation?
The Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization of volunteer community members dedicated to serving all schools, all teachers, and all students in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District by raising funds for the"Grants to Teachers" program and special curriculum needs.

What are the goals of the Foundation?
The Foundation joins the public and private sectors of the community in a partnership to achieve the following:
•Encourage and recognize dedicated, innovative teachers
•Strengthen, enrich and supplement the District curriculum
•Involve parents, community members and local businesses in supporting education
•Raise funds for academic programs in the NMUSD

What is the governing body?
A volunteer Board of Directors governs the Foundation. Board members are residents of the District and come from a wide range of professional and volunteer experiences. Management of the Foundation, fund-raising projects, and review, approval and assessment of the individual programs granted funds are all accomplished by the volunteer Board members.

What are the Foundation's funding sources?
