Hello, and thank you for visiting our website.

The Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation exists solely to raise money for grants for teachers in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. The foundation is governed by a board of volunteers. It is composed of parents of children in the schools, business owners, retired teachers, school board members, a former deputy superintendent and me, a former principal in the district. We are all volunteers and the foundation has no paid employees. We don’t sell a product, but we do promote "Excellence in Education". The Newport-Mesa-Schools Foundation is the only foundation in the district which supports all thirty-one schools.

Our organizational goals are to:

  • Raise funds for the enhancement of academic programs in the school district.
  • Involve parents, community members and local businesses in supporting public education.
  • Strengthen, enrich and supplement District curriculum.
  • Encourage and recognize vision and creativity in dedicated, innovative teachers.

That’s who we are and what we do! We can always use more help! Read on if you are interested in making our children’s education even better.
